Club membership agreement

Members receive access to West Coast Placer club claims for hand-mining activity.
The annual membership fee is $50 and the membership year starts on the signup date.
Members may bring friends and family, up to a limit of 3 adults.
Members can keep the gold they find and are responsible for any fines, penalties, injuries, or equipment damage they incur.
Members must be cooperative with surrounding land owners and must navigate to claims using GPS or a phone GPS app.
A Free Miner Certificate is required for sluicing or highbanking. Hand panning only does not require an FMC.

I agree to the WCP Club membership rules.

Work must stay on dry, unvegetated gravel bars or outside the riparian setback except for narrow foot access.
Do not locate sluices, highbankers, settling ponds, tailings piles, or holes inside the riparian setback.
Sluices and highbankers must be movable by hand and must not use mechanically driven moving parts except for a small portable water pump.
No suction dredging, hydraulic mining, machine-assisted digging, cabins, sheds, or recreational camping on claims.
Level and contour excavations as material is processed, prevent silt-laden discharge, screen water intakes, carry a spill kit, and remove garbage.

I understand and agree to follow the placer hand-mining restrictions.

BC Information Update 38 describes low-disturbance activities that may generally occur without a Mines Act permit.
For placer work, activity must remain limited, hand-conducted, and consistent with regional timing windows and setback rules.
If planned work falls outside these limits, the member is responsible for confirming permit or exemption requirements before working.

I have reviewed the permit guidance summary and understand that I am responsible for staying within legal work limits.

Club member reports must be filed in ClaimSniper within three weeks of each trip.
Reports should include member name, helpers, time spent, GPS locations, work descriptions, equipment used, photos, travel distance, gold found, route/access notes, and general trip notes.
GPS is required because claim boundaries are not marked in the field.

I agree to file trip reports in ClaimSniper within three weeks of WCP claim work.
